Do I need a visa to visit Nicaragua?

Most visitors from the U.S., Canada, and Europe don’t need a visa for short stays, usually up to 90 days. You’ll just pay a small entry fee when you arrive at the airport or border. Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If you’re planning to stay longer, you can apply for an extension once you’re there. Nicaragua is part of the Central America-4 Border Agreement, so travel between Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala is easier. Always double-check the latest entry rules before flying in, since they can change.
