What's the deal with Korean age?

In Korea, you're considered one year old at birth, and everyone turns a year older on New Year's Day, not on their birthday. So, if you're born on December 31, you're already two years old the next day! This unique system means Koreans can be one or two years older than their international age. It's a fun quirk that reflects the country's rich cultural heritage.
