Who gets to nominate someone for the Nobel Peace Prize?

Only certain people can nominate candidates: members of national governments, university professors, directors of peace research institutes, and previous laureates, among others. These nominators submit their choices to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which reviews them and selects the winner. Interestingly, the full list of nominees isn't made public until 50 years later, so we won't know who's been nominated this year until 2075.
