Life in Haiti is all about community — people rely on neighbors and extended family to get through tough times. The pace is slower than in big Western cities, but daily hustle is real: markets, motorbikes, and church music fill the air. Many Haitians work informal jobs, farm, or run small shops, while others head abroad to support family back home. Despite economic struggles, there’s a strong sense of pride and generosity that visitors always notice. Sundays are for church and rest, but the rest of the week is full of movement and noise. Kids play soccer in the streets, and everyone seems to know everyone else. It’s a place where resilience shows up in everyday life.
