The cool thing about Aruba is that there really isn’t a bad time to visit. The island sits below the hurricane zone and gets over 300 sunny days a year. High season runs from December to April, when the weather is a little cooler and crowds of winter escapees arrive. Prices drop in the off-season (May through November), but the weather still stays great—just a touch warmer and more humid. Winds can get strong sometimes, which actually keeps it comfortable and perfect for kitesurfing or sailing. If you like lively beach bars and events, stick to high season, but for quieter beaches and cheaper stays, go shoulder season. Either way, flip-flops are all you’ll need.
