Where is Aruba and what makes it stand out?

Aruba is a small island in the southern Caribbean Sea, just off the coast of Venezuela, and part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It’s known for its white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and famously sunny weather—seriously, it hardly ever rains. Unlike many Caribbean islands, Aruba has a dry climate with cactus-dotted landscapes that feel more desert than jungle. The island’s slogan “One Happy Island” actually fits the vibe—people are friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. It’s also outside the hurricane belt, so vacations rarely get disrupted by storms. Dutch influence blends with Caribbean flavor here, giving Aruba a unique mix of languages, foods, and traditions. Add in great infrastructure and safety, and it’s easy to see why so many people return year after year.
