Will Smith first got famous as a rapper in the late 80s with DJ Jazzy Jeff, with chill tracks like “Parents Just Don’t Understand.” What made him stand out is that his music was fun and didn’t have a lot of profanity, which was different from other rap at the time. His charisma and humour got him noticed by TV producers. He later landed the lead in the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which became a massive hit. That show basically turned him into a global celebrity. From there he moved into movies, and pretty much everything changed. His rise was quick, but it was built on talent, timing, and pure charm.
