What made Netflix so disruptive in the entertainment industry?

Netflix broke traditional rules by letting people watch whatever they wanted without schedules or commercials. They popularised binge-watching by dropping entire seasons at once, something TV networks rarely did. The company also pushed old studios to rethink distribution, budgets and release strategies. As Netflix created more originals, it blurred the line between tech company and Hollywood studio. The move toward streaming forced competitors to launch their own platforms. The disruption changed how audiences think about movies and shows entirely. Netflix’s approach basically rewired the entertainment industry from the inside out.
