What was Walt Disney’s early life like?

Walt grew up in a hardworking Midwestern family with several siblings. His dad was strict and his mum was more gentle, giving Walt a balanced upbringing. Walt discovered art early and took drawing classes as a kid. He also became fascinated with storytelling and theatre. When he was a teenager, he drove ambulances for the Red Cross in Europe after World War I. That trip exposed him to different cultures and new ideas. All of these experiences helped him build the creative mind people admire today.
