Who founded Netflix and how did it all start?

Netflix was founded in 1997 by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph after they talked about creating a new kind of video-rental business. Instead of the usual late fees and store trips, they wanted something easier and more modern. They started by mailing DVDs to customers, which felt like magic back then because nobody else was doing it. The idea took off because people loved not dealing with rental stores. Over time Netflix realised streaming would be the future, so they shifted their focus online. That move completely changed the entertainment industry and made Netflix a household name. The founders basically turned a simple idea into a global platform that millions depend on for daily entertainment.
