You don’t always have to pay to watch a rocket launch — there are lots of free public spots like beaches, parks, and bridges where you can see the sky light up when a rocket takes off. Places like Playalinda Beach and some parts of Cocoa Beach offer free access to launch views, though you might need to pay for beach parking in some areas. Jetty Park is an amazing launch-viewing spot but it requires a day pass or campground pass for entry on launch days. If you want official views with commentary or to be really close to the action, buying a ticket to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on launch days gives you premium viewing spots. Even without paying, people all along the Space Coast can often see the rocket’s smoke trail and hear the rumble from miles away. Just keep in mind that good free spots fill up early on launch days because everyone shows up to watch. Planning ahead and getting there early makes it way more fun and stress-free.
