Iguazu Falls is made up of around 275 individual waterfalls, depending on the water level. During the rainy season, more streams appear and the falls look even wider. In drier months, the number of visible falls can drop slightly. The waterfalls stretch across nearly two miles, making the site feel massive. Some falls are tall and narrow, while others are wide and powerful. Together they create a constant roar you can hear from far away. This huge number of falls is one reason Iguazu feels so overwhelming.
