Getting to Rate Field by public transport is one of the easiest ways to avoid traffic. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line stops at Sox-35th, which is about a four-minute walk from the stadium. The Green Line also stops at 35th-Bronzeville-IIT, about a 10-minute walk away. There are local buses too, like the 35th Street routes, that drop you close to the ballpark. A lot of fans ride the train in from downtown or other parts of the city on game days. If you prefer trains, the Metra Electric Line has stops in the area and offers a slightly longer walk. Using transit can save time and stress, especially when parking lots fill up early.
