When was Progressive Field built?

Progressive Field officially opened on April 4, 1994. It was originally called Jacobs Field before getting its current name in 2008. The stadium was built to replace the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. At the time, it was considered one of the most modern baseball parks in Major League Baseball. Over the years, it has gone through several renovations to upgrade fan areas and technology. Recent updates have added new social spaces and improved food options. Even though it opened in the 1990s, it still feels fresh and up to date today.
