The official seating capacity at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium is about 72,000 fans for football games after various expansions and renovations over the decades. Back when the stadium first opened in 1938, it only held around 13,500 people, so the growth has been massive. A huge project before the 2001 season bumped capacity up from about 51,000 to 72,000, and later work added even more premium areas and suites. On some game days, especially big rivalry matchups, attendance can push above that base number with extra seating. Even with the big crowd size, you still get that classic college stadium feel on a packed fall afternoon. With fans doing the “Woo Pig Sooie” chant and full stands all around, it’s one of the liveliest atmospheres in the SEC. The mix of chairback seats, club sections, and big video boards makes it more comfortable than older stadiums of similar size.
