Why is it called the Kia Forum?

The arena is called the Kia Forum because Kia Motors purchased the naming rights to the venue in 2022. Before that change, it was widely known simply as “The Forum” or sometimes the “L.A. Forum.” The building has gone through several ownership changes and renovations since it first opened in the 1960s. When Kia became the official naming partner, the venue adopted the new name while keeping its historic identity. Even with the updated name, many longtime Los Angeles residents still casually refer to it as The Forum. The building remains one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Inglewood entertainment district. The updated name reflects the modern era while honoring the venue’s long history.
