How deep is Utah Lake?

Utah Lake is known for being extremely shallow compared to most lakes of its size. The average depth is only about 10 feet, with a maximum depth of around 14 feet. Because it’s so shallow, water levels and conditions can change quickly. This also means the lake warms up faster in the summer than deeper lakes. The shallow depth contributes to its murky look and makes it more sensitive to wind and weather. Boaters need to be careful, especially in unfamiliar areas. Despite its size, it feels more like a wide, shallow basin than a deep lake.
