What is Utah Lake and where is it located?

Utah Lake is a large natural freshwater lake located in Utah County, right in the middle of Utah Valley. It sits west of cities like Provo and Orem and is one of the biggest lakes in the western United States. The lake stretches about 24 miles long and around 13 miles wide, covering a huge area. It’s actually a remnant of the ancient Lake Bonneville, which once covered much of the region. Today, it’s a popular spot for outdoor activities like boating, fishing, and camping. The lake is surrounded by mountains, which makes for some great views year-round. It’s a key part of the local ecosystem and plays a big role in recreation and wildlife.
