Many regular concertgoers recommend arriving earlier than expected for major shows at the amphitheater. Traffic near the venue becomes very crowded shortly before gates open and again close to showtime. Early arrival gives fans more time to park, pass through security, buy food, and visit merchandise stands without rushing. Lawn ticket holders especially like arriving early to claim better viewing spots closer to the stage. Merchandise and concession lines usually become much longer later in the evening. Some fans enjoy relaxing in the parking area before entering because the atmosphere builds up early on concert nights.
