What is Stade de France and why is it famous?

Stade de France is the national stadium of France and one of the largest stadiums in Europe. It was built for the 1998 FIFA World Cup and has hosted many major football, rugby, and concert events since then. The stadium can hold around eighty thousand people depending on the event setup. Famous international artists regularly perform concerts there, and France’s national football team also plays many matches at the venue. Large sports tournaments and international competitions often use the stadium because of its size and location. Many visitors combine a stadium tour with other sightseeing in Saint-Denis during the same day. Public transportation connections make it fairly easy to reach from central Paris for events and tours.
