When does Wimbledon usually take place each year?

Wimbledon usually happens in late June and runs into early July every year. It’s the third Grand Slam on the tennis calendar after the Australian Open and Roland-Garros. The tournament lasts about two weeks, depending on weather delays and scheduling changes. Most matches are played during daylight hours, but Centre Court has evening sessions too in recent years. The schedule stays pretty consistent, so fans plan trips months in advance. It always takes place at the All England Club in London. That timing also means players switch quickly from clay courts to grass, which makes it tricky for some.
