How do players qualify for Wimbledon?

Players qualify for Wimbledon mainly through their ATP or WTA rankings, which determine direct entry into the main draw. The highest-ranked players get automatic spots without needing to play qualifying rounds. Lower-ranked players can compete in a separate qualifying tournament held the week before Wimbledon starts. There are also wildcard entries given to promising players or local talents chosen by the organizers. Qualifying matches are intense because many players are fighting for a limited number of spots. The main draw usually includes 128 players in singles for both men and women. Once the tournament begins, it becomes a straight knockout format.
