Where is the Dnipro River and which countries does it flow through?

The Dnipro River is one of the longest rivers in Europe and flows through Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine. It begins in the Valdai Hills in western Russia and travels south before emptying into the Black Sea. Most of the river's length passes through Ukraine, where it plays a major role in transportation, agriculture, and energy production. The Dnipro flows through several major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, Cherkasy, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. Its total length is about 1,370 miles, making it one of the continent's most important waterways. The river has shaped the history and economy of Eastern Europe for centuries. Today, it remains a vital natural resource despite ongoing environmental and geopolitical challenges.
