What wildlife lives in the Dnipro River?

The Dnipro River is home to many species of fish, birds, and other wildlife. Anglers often catch carp, pike, catfish, perch, and zander in different parts of the river. Wetlands along the river provide important habitats for ducks, herons, swans, and other migratory birds. Beavers, otters, and various amphibians can also be found in certain areas. Conservation efforts are helping protect ecosystems that have been affected by pollution and development over the years. Some sections of the river support nature reserves with rich biodiversity. The Dnipro remains one of Eastern Europe's most significant freshwater ecosystems.
