Skip Forward: Americans are offered a 4-year cruise

The cruise company Villa Vie Residences offered US residents to go on a long round-the-world cruise for four years (that is, for the duration of Trump's presidency).

The company introduced a new package of services "Skip Forward" on November 7, the day after the preliminary results of the presidential election became known. The company offered to go on a round-the-world trip on board the ship "Odyssey" for a period of one to four years. During the cruise, the ship will visit 140 countries.

The cost of tickets for a four-year trip in a single cabin with an all-inclusive rate starts at $ 256 thousand, in a double cabin - from $ 320 thousand.

A two-year “Midterm Selection” plan is also available for those who want to return to the U.S. after the 2026 election. Prices start at $150,400 for a single cabin and $188,000 for a double cabin. Annual and three-year plans are also available.

A Villa Vie Residences spokesperson told Business Insider that the Odyssey will allow passengers to “escape traffic, politics, and the monotony of city life.” Passengers can enjoy spa and fitness services, while tickets include meals and complimentary beer and wine at lunch and dinner.

As Business Insider notes, the Villa Vie Residences ship set out on its round-the-world voyage in September after a four-month delay from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Two passengers who complained about the delays had their tickets cancelled. Other passengers, however, said they were “very impressed” with the ship despite the delay.

Shortly before the US presidential election, CNBC reported that a record number of wealthy Americans were planning to leave the US after the election. A survey by Arton Capital, a company that advises wealthy people on immigration programs, showed that 53% of American millionaires are ready to leave the US after the election, regardless of who wins.

The day after the US presidential election, when Donald Trump was announced as the winner, Google Trends showed a sharp increase in search queries for “moving to Canada” in the United States.
