Romania and Bulgaria will open their land borders with Schengen on January 1, 2025, fully entering the Schengen area.
In 2024, Romania and Bulgaria opened their air and sea borders with the Schengen area.Thus, for trips to Romania and Bulgaria, you no longer need a separate visa, but only a Schengen visa. Now you can drive from Portugal to Greece by car within Schengen.
