Does Philadelphia have any weird or quirky traditions?

You bet. Ever heard of the Mummers Parade? It’s a wild, colorful New Year’s Day tradition that’s unlike anything else. Then there’s Wing Bowl (RIP), once a competitive chicken wing eating contest that packed an arena at 8 a.m. Philly also has a love-hate relationship with its sports mascots, like Gritty the Flyers’ orange nightmare turned meme legend. Quirky is kinda our thing.
