Is Philadelphia safe for tourists?

Like any big city, it has its rough spots, but most tourist areas like Center City, Old City, and the Parkway are perfectly safe, especially during the day. Stick to well-lit streets at night and be aware of your surroundings, just like anywhere else. Philly has a visible police presence in popular areas. Use common sense, and you’ll be fine—and probably fall in love with the city while you’re at it.
