Angel Falls is the tallest uninterrupted waterfall in the world, plunging 979 meters (3,212 feet) from a tabletop mountain called Auyán-tepui in Venezuela. It was named after American aviator Jimmie Angel, who flew over the falls in 1933. The waterfall is so high that the water often evaporates into mist before reaching the bottom. It's located within Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The indigenous Pemon people call it "Kerepakupai Merú." It’s accessible only by boat or small plane, making it a remote yet stunning destination. Angel Falls inspired the waterfall paradise in the movie *Up* by Pixar.
