Cool facts about the Wailing Wall

The Wailing Wall, also called the Western Wall or ha-Kotel, is a remnant of the Second Temple in Jerusalem. It is considered the holiest accessible site in Judaism. The wall is about 60 meters long and 20 meters high above ground, with much more buried below. Jews from around the world place written prayers into the cracks between stones. The wall dates back over 2,000 years and has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. It's located at the foot of the Temple Mount. Visitors of all faiths are welcome, with separate areas for men and women.
