Malbork Castle was founded in 1274 and completed over several decades as the Teutonic Order expanded its territory. The fortress was continuously developed and expanded throughout the 14th and 15th centuries. Its construction reflects the medieval Gothic style and advanced brickwork techniques of the period. The castle endured sieges, fires, and wars, yet much of its structure remains intact today. Restoration efforts over the 20th century have preserved its historical integrity. Malbork Castle has stood for more than 700 years as a symbol of medieval European power and architecture.
