What Yemeni foods should I try?

Saltah is the classic—bubbling stew with fenugreek foam, veggies, and meat served with fresh bread. Mandi and kabsa are aromatic rice-and-meat dishes slow-cooked to perfection. Fahsa, sahawiq (a spicy herb salsa), and bint al-sahn (honey-butter layered bread) are fan favorites. Coffee has deep roots here, and the cardamom-heavy cups hit different. Honey—especially Sidr honey—is a big deal and often gifted. If you like bold spices and fresh bread, you’ll be very happy.
