What should I know about Bolivia’s money and tipping?

Bolivia uses the Boliviano, but many places—especially tourist zones—accept U.S. dollars, giving change in local currency. ATMs are available in big cities, though they can charge hefty fees, so bring multiple cards and some backup cash. Tipping isn't mandatory but appreciated—maybe 10% at restaurants or a little for guides or drivers. Street vendors and local markets usually work in cash only. Having small bills on hand just saves you hassle later.
