Do people in Kyrgyzstan speak English?

English isn’t super common, especially outside the cities, but younger people and those in tourism usually know the basics. The main languages are Kyrgyz and Russian, so learning a few words in either helps a lot. In Bishkek and Osh, you’ll find more people who can communicate in English. In rural areas, hand gestures and smiles go a long way. People are friendly and will try to help even if there’s a language gap. Having a translation app on your phone makes things much easier.
