Indonesia is made up of thousands of islands, so getting around can be an adventure. Between islands, you’ll either take a plane or a ferry depending on the distance. On the islands, people often rent scooters since it’s cheap and gives you freedom to explore. In big cities, there are taxis, ride-hailing apps, and public buses. Traffic can get crazy, especially in Jakarta and Bali, so be ready for delays. If you’re flexible, the journey is part of the fun in Indonesia.
