Indonesia is a tropical country, so the weather is warm all year, but the seasons are split between dry and rainy. The dry season from May to September is usually the most popular because you get sunny days and less chance of downpours. The wet season, from October to April, can be heavy with rain, but it’s also less crowded and cheaper. Some surfers actually love the rainy season because of the bigger waves. It also depends on where you’re going, since the weather can vary across the islands. Either way, it’s never freezing cold, so you’ll always get that tropical vibe.
