Zelenskyy Urges UN to Stand Firm: “Ukraine Is Only the First”

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia’s aggression is a global threat, not merely a regional conflict. He called on the world to bolster enforceable security guarantees and resist a world defined by military power and coercion. Leaders from Latvia, the Czech Republic, and others echoed his concerns, citing hybrid tactics and Russia’s expanding alliance with regimes like Iran and North Korea. Meanwhile, a Spanish king condemned both Hamas atrocities and the Israeli response in Gaza, calling for renewed diplomacy and restraint. Geopolitical tensions also flared with reported GPS jamming in Eastern Europe near Russian bases. The day underscored a deepening clash over the rules-based international order.
