What’s game day like at Neyland Stadium?

Game day in Knoxville is an all-day celebration, not just a football match. Fans start tailgating early in the morning along the Tennessee River, cooking, playing music, and showing off orange everything. There’s even a “Vol Navy” — hundreds of boats tied up by the stadium for fans who float in for the game. Once you head inside, you’re surrounded by a wall of noise, orange pom-poms, and non-stop chants. The Pride of the Southland Band and the “T” formation as players run out of the tunnel give everyone goosebumps. The community feeling is strong — people high-five total strangers because everyone’s in it together. When the Vols win, downtown Knoxville turns into one giant postgame block party.
