Getting to Keleti is super easy because it’s linked to the metro and lots of surface lines. The station has its own metro stop (Keleti pályaudvar) on the M2 line and also connects to M4, so you can jump on the metro from all over the city. Tons of buses, trams, and trolleybuses stop around the plaza, so if you’re coming from a neighborhood without a metro it’s still straightforward. If you’re coming from the airport, you’ll usually take a bus or taxi plus a short metro ride. Signage in English is decent, but leave a little extra time if you’re switching between long-distance platforms and the metro. Locals often use the metro for short hops and trains for longer trips out of town. Overall, transit options are plentiful and frequent.
