US President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in Israel on Sunday, October 12. However, he may arrive on the evening of October 11. According to Ynet, Trump may remain in Israel until October 13 if there is a delay in the hostage release process.
According to the agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh, the hostages held by terrorists in Gaza are scheduled to be released on October 12. A reception is planned at Ben-Gurion Airport to celebrate Trump's arrival. He has also been invited to deliver a speech in the Knesset.
In preparation for the visit, the US Embassy in Israel contacted the King David Hotel in Jerusalem to reserve two floors for President Trump and his entourage, starting Saturday evening and continuing throughout Sunday. As Ynet columnist Itamar Eichner notes, due to hotel overcrowding, this will require the relocation of other guests. Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump "for his leadership, his partnership, and his unwavering commitment to Israel's security and the release of our hostages." Netanyahu spoke with Trump, and they "congratulated each other on the historic achievement of signing the agreement to release all hostages," the Prime Minister's Office reported. Netanyahu invited Trump to Israel and invited him to address the Knesset.
