Cameroon isn’t as tourist-heavy as some African destinations, but it’s packed with natural and cultural gems. Mount Cameroon, an active volcano near the coast, is a big draw for hikers and adventure lovers. The beaches around Limbe and Kribi are tropical and chill, with palm trees and seafood shacks. Inland, you’ll find national parks like Waza and Lobéké, where elephants, lions, and gorillas roam. The ancient kingdoms in the west and the vibrant markets of Douala and Yaoundé give a taste of Cameroon’s heritage. There are also waterfalls, highlands, and rainforests that are still largely untouched. If you want a more authentic African vibe without huge crowds, Cameroon delivers.
