What is Riocentro and where exactly is it located in Rio de Janeiro?

Riocentro is the biggest convention and exhibition center in all of Latin America, sitting in the Barra da Tijuca area of Rio’s West Zone. It’s been around since the late 1970s and has hosted everything from trade shows and concerts to political summits. The complex is huge, with several pavilions, lakes, and even green spaces that make it look more like a park than a concrete arena. If you’re visiting for an event, you’ll find it close to the Olympic Park and the main roads connecting to downtown Rio. Because it’s far from the city’s beaches and tourist center, most people come here for specific events. It’s well-connected by bus and taxi, though traffic in the area can be heavy. Locals see it as one of the main hubs for major conventions in Brazil.
