Wizard Island is that cone-shaped mini-volcano popping out of the lake like something from a fantasy movie. It’s actually a cinder cone that formed after the big eruption that created the lake. You can visit it by boat tour in summer and even hike to the top for epic 360 views. The name “Wizard” fits perfectly — it looks like a wizard’s hat from the rim above. Some locals say it has a mystical vibe, especially when fog rolls in. Whether you’re into geology or just cool photo ops, this island is a must-see part of the Crater Lake experience.
