The capital of Belgium is Brussels. It’s also the headquarters of the European Union, giving it an international and multicultural vibe. Brussels is famous for its medieval Grand Place, delicious waffles, and rich chocolate shops. The city mixes historic charm with modern office towers and lively neighborhoods. You’ll hear both French and Dutch spoken on the streets, plus plenty of English thanks to its global residents. Rain is common, but that adds to the cozy café culture the city is known for. Don’t leave without tasting Belgian fries and a glass of local beer.
