Bolivia has two capitals: Sucre and La Paz. Sucre is the constitutional capital, known for its white colonial buildings and pleasant climate. La Paz, however, serves as the seat of government and is the highest administrative capital in the world, sitting over 3,600 meters above sea level. The city is surrounded by stunning mountains and has a mix of indigenous traditions and modern life. Cable cars connect neighborhoods and offer amazing views across the valley. Both cities reflect Bolivia’s rich culture and diverse history. Visitors often explore Sucre’s museums and La Paz’s bustling markets for a full experience of the country.
