Michael Jackson got into music super early as the youngest star in the Jackson 5, a group formed by his brothers and guided by their dad, Joseph. They signed with Motown in the late 1960s and broke out with hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back.” Michael stood out right away because of his vocals and crazy stage energy. By the late 1970s, he started pushing towards a solo career with "Off the Wall," which blew up globally. After that, there was no going back — the world basically knew who he was. That early training and pressure shaped him into a perfectionist performer. His drive to innovate never really slowed down after that.
