Ford grew up in a normal neighbourhood and wasn’t sure what he wanted to do at first. He explored lots of hobbies, including electronics and mechanics. After college, he moved to Los Angeles hoping to find work in entertainment. His early acting career was slow, so he supported himself by becoming a carpenter. This job surprisingly connected him with directors and actors who noticed his talent. One of those connections led him to filmmaker George Lucas. That chance meeting changed his life forever.
