Curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics

Curling at the 2026 Winter Olympics will be held at the Cortina Olympic Stadium in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from February 4 to February 22, 2026. The competition kicks off with mixed doubles two days before the Opening Ceremony, followed by the men’s and women’s team events. There are three Olympic curling events — men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles — each featuring 10 national teams competing for medals. All events take place on pebbled ice where players slide granite stones and use brooms to sweep and control their path, blending strategy and precision. The curling program runs every day throughout the Games, making it one of the longest continuous sports on the schedule. Italy, as the host nation, automatically qualifies teams in all three events, while others earn spots through world rankings and qualification events. Some top curling nations like Canada, Sweden, Great Britain, and China will be competing with strong teams aiming for the podium. With round‑robin play leading into semifinals and medal games, the overall schedule promises lots of tactical drama and exciting finishes.
