Pelee Island may be small, but it’s packed with fun and nature-focused activities for visitors of all ages. One of the biggest draws is exploring nature reserves like Fish Point and Lighthouse Point, where you can hike, see wildlife and watch spring and fall bird migrations. The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail loops around the island’s shoreline and is perfect for biking or walking through scenic farmland and beaches. The island also has several lovely beaches where you can relax, swim or watch sunrises and sunsets over Lake Erie. For something laid-back, the Pelee Island Winery Pavilion offers wine tasting, tours and outdoor spaces to chill with a great view. There’s also a heritage centre, local art galleries, and casual spots like mini golf and ice cream near the ferry terminal. Outdoor lovers and photographers especially enjoy the birdwatching and wide open skies that make the landscape so special.
