Capital One Arena is downtown in Washington, D.C., a few blocks from landmarks like the National Portrait Gallery and within the Chinatown neighborhood. It’s super easy to reach by public transit — the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro station is right under the arena and served by the Red, Green, and Yellow lines, while Metro Center is just a short walk away with Red, Blue, Orange, and Silver line options. Driving is possible but traffic and parking are tough on event days, especially in the surrounding Penn Quarter streets. Lots of fans grab a rideshare or take the Metro to avoid the parking hassle entirely. There are private parking garages a few blocks away where you can reserve a space ahead of time using apps like SpotHero so you’re guaranteed a spot. Walking from nearby downtown hotels and businesses is also a popular option if you’re staying in the city. Overall, transit and walking tend to be easiest for getting to the arena on event nights.
